Safeguarding / Child Protection

‘‘Leaders and staff have created a nurturing environment that helps pupils, and children in the Reception class, to feel safe."

Ofsted June 2022

One of our top priorities in school which is constantly monitored and evaluated is the welfare, well-being and safeguarding of our pupils. The school has a number of policies, procedures and practices, all of a high standard, to ensure this is the case including: Child Protection, Anti-Bullying, Equal Opportunities, Heath & Safety, Attendance, Behaviour, Physical Restraint Policies and Complaints Procedures.

These are reviewed annually by the Governing Body and all staff are aware of the need for up most vigilance in abiding by these. Parents are encouraged to discuss ANY concerns regarding the health, safety, protection and development of their child with the class teacher or Headteacher who is the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

If you have a concern about a child and wish to report it to our Designated Safeguarding Officer, please contact the School Office on 01942 746679 and ask for the headteacher, Mr Howard Smout. Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding leads are Mrs Ganley, Mrs Clarke and Mrs Harper.
